Adobe has published a fix for a critical vulnerability in it's Photoshop products. Windows and MaOS versions of Adobe Photoshop 2023 24.7 and earlier as well as Adobe Photoshop 2022 23.5.5 and earlier are vulnerable.
The vulnerability tracked as CVE-2023-26370 could allow a remote attacker to induce memory leaks, circumvent security measures, run arbitrary commands, elevate their system permissions, and even cause a system to be unavailable, a state known as a Denial of Service (DoS).
Naturally, exploiting the application requires malicious code on your computer, so be very careful with phishing and use strong passwords on your devices.
Adobe has already taken corrective action by rolling out an updated version of Photoshop for both Windows and macOS platforms, which addresses this critical vulnerability.
Adobe is urging its user base to promptly transition to the latest version. This can be done through the update feature present in Adobe's Creative Cloud desktop application.
