Microsoft is following Google in releasing updates to address a zero-day vulnerabilities identified during Pwn2Own Vancouver 2024.

The flaws include CVE-2024-2883, which impacts all Chromium-based web browsers, including Microsoft Edge, and is reported to be exploited by hackers. This has been confirmed by both Microsoft and Google, acknowledging the active exploitation of this vulnerability.

Microsoft Edge's latest update version 123.0.2420.65 rectifies this issue among eight other issues.

Users of Chromium-based browsers are advised to check their current browser version and update if necessary.
