Ascension Seton, based in Austin, Texas, is conducting an investigation into a data breach that occurred in March. Update - Ascension Providence Hospital acknowledged in June the data breach affecting them, through the information stored on the hospital’s “legacy website,” Providence.net.
They are alerting individuals affected by the incident and providing complimentary credit and identity theft protection services. Assencion beleives that that no information was believed to be removed or misused, and steps have been taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
