Bamford Skincare security breach exposes customer payment information

The luxury skincare and wellness brand Bamford, has experienced a security breach affecting customer payment information.
The security incident occurred in March 2025, potentially exposing customers' credit and debit card details. In response to the breach, Bamford has sent emails to affected customers recommending they "thoroughly check the bank account you used to purchase from us" and suggesting that as "an additional precautionary measure, you may wish to cancel the card used and request a new one from your bank."
The company stated it took "immediate action" upon discovering the incident and has reported the matter to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection watchdog. A Bamford spokesperson issued an apology, stating: "We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or concern this incident may cause."
The exposed data appears to include:
- Credit/debit card information
- Possibly bank account details
The nature of the attack and the number of affected individuals has not been disclosed.
The ICO has confirmed that "Bamford Limited reported an incident to us. After reviewing the information provided, we provided data protection advice and closed the case with no further action."
