The Calgary Public Library has temporarily closed all of its locations following a cybersecurity breach. The closure took effect at 5 p.m on October 11. 2024. To mitigate the breach the library has turned off all servers and disabled access to library computers.

Update - as of 18th of October 2024, library officials confirmed that the breach is "likely caused by ransomware attack".
