On July 24, 2023, Coastal Hospice & Palliative Care, headquartered in Salisbury, experienced a network disruption, leading to an investigation and confirming cyber attack and data breach of sensitive data.

Coastal Hospice has not disclosed the nature of the attack or number of affected individuals.
Coastal Hospice initiated a notification process on January 22nd 2024. In these notifications, Coastal Hospice likely included recommendations for steps that the affected individuals could take to monitor and protect their personal information.
