Cognizant / TMG Health reported a data breach incident where an unauthorized party gained access to confidential consumer data stored on their computer network, potentially putting sensitive information of individuals at risk.
According to Cognizant / TMG between June 22, 2023, and July 18, 2023, they detected a potential network security incident that took place from May 30, 2023, to June 3, 2023. An investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party had accessed personal information related to certain consumers.
Given the time period of the incident, as well as reporting from at least two institutions - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Indiana University Health which reported TMG Health as the third party that was breached in their incidents, it's very probable that the incident is related to the MOVEit file transfer vulnerability.
