The crypto exchange OKX has addressed a security flaw in its iOS wallet application through an update, as confirmed by a spokesperson to The Block.

OKX, in a statement on its Chinese social media, explained that the issue originated from a third-party service provider, but assured that no assets were compromised and the security of user assets remained intact.

The exchange has recommended that users promptly upgrade to the latest iOS app version, 6.45.0, to ensure safety.

Earlier, the web3 security firm CertiK had alerted OKX iOS app users about the need for an urgent update, highlighting a critical Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability that posed risks to sensitive data and crypto assets.

This advisory from CertiK came an hour before OKX's own announcement of an update to mitigate this risk.
