The DeKalb County Board of County Commissioners in Indiana reports a data breach to residents on March 6, 2026, after a network compromise discovered in late 2025.
Attackers maintained a presence within the DeKalb County network from August 21, 2025, until the discovery in September 25, 2025. The investigation confirmed that the attackers accessed and stole data during the 35-day dwell time. The compromised data includes:

- Identification card numbers
- Financial account numbers
