Doxbin, a platform used to expose personal information and doxxing of individuals, was hit by a significant data breach orchestrated by a hacker group called Tooda. The incident has resulted in substantial data exposure and operational disruption of the platform.

The attack stems from what appears to be an ongoing conflict between different groups, leading to a comprehensive compromise of Doxbin's infrastructure. The impact of the breach has been severe, affecting both the platform's operations and its user base.

Exposed data includes:

  • 136,814 user records containing:
    • User IDs
    • Usernames
    • Email addresses
  • A "Doxbin Blacklist" file containing information about individuals who paid to keep their information off the platform
  • Personal information of a Doxbin administrator known as "River" (aka Paula)

The breach has effectively turned the tables on Doxbin's users, potentially exposing them to the same kind of privacy violations the platform was known for enabling. The exposed data, while seemingly limited to usernames and email addresses, could be cross-referenced with other data breaches to potentially reveal users' real identities.

The attackers successfully wiped out user accounts, locked out administrators from the platform, gained control of the platform's backend infrastructure and published sensitive user data.
