The breach involved the unauthorized access and copying of certain files from CLEAResult's systems.
This compromised data may encompass details such as:

- personal names,
- addresses.

Apparently all of the 1.8 million Massachusetts customers of Eversource Energy were affected by the data breach, with almost 11,000 customers had their Social Security numbers stolen.
The numbers also include about 3,200 combined solar panel and electric vehicle customers in Connecticut.
The Eversource vendor involved in the breach, though, reported to the state that almost 11,000 customers were impacted.
Eversource revealed that CLEAResult responded swiftly to address the security vulnerability and is actively investigating the incident while adhering to legal obligations.
CLEAResult specializes in creating software solutions used by utility companies like Eversource to monitor and manage energy efficiency programs.
