Learn More

Singaporean gaming company Razer is currently investigating a potential data breach.

The breach is suspected after an individual on a hackers' forum offered stolen data from the company for $100,000 in cryptocurrency.

The breach per the information pitched as being sold includes:

  • source code,
  • login access for Razer's websites and products,
  • a folder named zVault, which is Razer's digital wallet and rewards program for gamers,
  • a list of email IDs associated with zVault accounts, putting approximately 404,000 customers at risk.

No details are available as to the type of attack that caused the breach.

This is not the first data breach Razer has experienced, as they previously encountered a breach in 2020 that resulted in the theft of customer information, leading to a legal dispute with a Singaporean IT company.
