HTC Global Services, an IT and business consulting firm, has acknowledged a cybersecurity breach following the ALPHV ransomware group's publishing screenshots showing stolen data. This firm provides technology and business solutions to various sectors, including healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, and finance.

HTC has not formally announced the incident on their website but they confirmed the cyberattack via a tweet, emphasizing their ongoing investigation and efforts to safeguard user data. The company has engaged cybersecurity experts to resolve the issue.

The ALPHV (BlackCat) ransomware group, which listed HTC on their data leak site, has leaked sensitive data such as:

  • passports,
  • contact lists,
  • emails,
  • confidential documents.

No details are disclosed about the nature of the attack or number of affected individuals.

It's suspected that HTC might have been compromised through the Citrix Bleed vulnerability, particularly in their CareTech business unit, which operated a susceptible Citrix Netscaler device.
