The cybersecurity breach was detected on January 29, when the city reported that a "cybersecurity event" had disrupted its digital infrastructure, leading to the shutdown of City Hall and other city facilities. Further investigation revealed that between January 22 and January 29, unauthorized access was gained to certain city system files, resulting in data theft.
