Jewellery retailer Luk Fook Holdings investigates claims of data breach

Luk Fook Holdings, a Hong Kong-based jewelry retailer, has initiated an investigation following the publication of a post on a dark web site last Tuesday, which claimed to have access to Luk Fook's customer records and was offering the data for sale.

Luk Fook has engaged a cybersecurity consultancy firm to assess the legitimacy of the breach claim and to conduct a review of its systems and servers. While the investigation remains ongoing, the retailer has reported the incident to the Hong Kong police and the Office of Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
