Upon discovering the breach, Gunster initiated containment measures to limit the extent of the breach and to ensure the secure restoration of its network infrastructure. To comprehensively address the situation, Gunster engaged the assistance of specialized firms with expertise in handling similar security breaches.
The investigation revealed that unauthorized access had occurred within Gunster's document management file system over a span of several weeks leading up to the detection of the breach.
