Leaseweb, a global cloud and hosting provider was a victim of a security breach that had a significant impact on specific crucial systems within the company.
As a response, Leaseweb deactivated affected systems to contain the threat and initiated an investigation. To ensure a thorough investigation, Leaseweb enlisted the services of a Digital Forensics cybersecurity firm.
The breach was discovered on August 22 during an inquiry into downtime issues with the Customer Portal. This led to disruptions for a small group of cloud customers due to abnormal activity in a portion of their cloud infrastructure.
Leaseweb's have temporarily suspended certain critical systems causing disruptions to the Customer Portal and are actively working to restore these systems.
