Liberty Hospital a comprehensive healthcare facility located in Liberty, Missouri is reporting a significant cybersecurity breach in December. On December 18 and 19, unauthorized access to the hospital's network was detected, prompting an ongoing investigation.
This cyberattack, identified as a ransomware attack, severely disrupted Liberty Hospital's operations, compelling the facility to temporarily suspend its online services, cancel appointments, and divert patients to alternate medical centers for several days.
The attack could caused compromise of patient-sensitive information. The data at risk includes:

In response to this incident, Liberty Hospital has committed to notifying individuals potentially affected by the breach, for whom it has mailing addresses, upon the conclusion of its investigation.
