Charlotte-based Nucor Corporation has reported a cyberattack that compromised data from approximately 8,824 individuals between May 26 and June 1, 2023.
The breach, which also affected North Carolina residents, involved unauthorized access resulting from hacking a software vulnerability.
Unfortunately, no details are available as to the nature of the attack nor data exposed, except that the it includes "Name or other personal identifiers".
Nucor has implemented a patch, initiated an investigation, and is providing affected individuals with Equifax credit monitoring and identity theft protection for 24 months.
