Ransomware group claims to have hacked Mulkay Cardiology Consultants

Learn More

The NoEscape ransomware group claimes to have targeted Mulkay Cardiology Consultants, a medical practice based in New Jersey, stating that they had successfully encrypted the organization's data and had in their possession 60GB of confidential information pertaining to over 30,000 patients.

Mulkay's website has no issues or signs of a breach, and there is no response or notification from Mulkay.

In the following days, NoEscape changed the tag the Mulkay listing with "DDoS". Subsequent check of Mulkay's website resulted in a 508 error indicating resource limit reached was encountered. Although this error confirms a DDoS attack, Mulkay's website became accessible without any breach-related alerts or notices.

Finally, NoEscape's has apparently removed Mulkay from their leak site was removed. The circumstances surrounding the removal of the listing remain uncertain—whether Mulkay made a payment, negotiations were initiated, or another reason led to its removal.
