Learn More

Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery, a healthcare provider serving Southwest Washington and Oregon, is facing operational disruptions due to a cyberattack that led to the shutdown of its external computer systems.

Since Monday 5th of February, the patient and scheduling portals are inaccessible.

Rebound has not commented on the cyberattack. The company's website acknowledges the technical difficulties affecting their electronic systems, leading to delayed phone service and response times. Patients attempting to schedule appointments are informed via an automated message that the systems are down, but all locations remain open for previously scheduled appointments.

Update - as of 7th of March, Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery, confirmed that an unauthorized party accessed and stole confidential patient information. In response, Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery is sending out notification letters to individuals whose information had been compromised.

No details are disclosed about the attack, any data breached or number of affected individuals.

This situation is very similar to the 2018 incident when Rebound experienced a data breach that potentially exposed personal information, including Social Security numbers and limited health information, of about 2,800 patients.
