Restaurant Management Company of Wichita (RMC), a prominent Pizza Hut franchisee, reports a data breach that occurred in late 2025.
The company noticed suspicious activity on its systems on October 13, 2025, and began a forensic investigation.
Attackers breached into RMC's computer network and maintained access for nine days, from October 4 to October 13, 2025. During this time, the unauthorized party accessed and copied files containing sensitive personal and financial information.
The compromised data includes:
- Full names and mailing addresses
- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Government-issued identification numbers
- Financial account information, including bank account and routing numbers
- Health insurance information
The breach affected 120,426 individuals across the United States. The nature of the attack is not disclosed.
RMC reset all user passwords, rebuilt the affected servers from scratch, and added new technical safeguards to the company's infrastructure. RMC is offering one year of free identity theft protection and credit monitoring services. The company also set up a dedicated call center to handle inquiries from the thousands of impacted people.
