Rocky Mountain Care, a Utah-based healthcare provider, reports a data breach following a ransomware attack. The Qilin ransomware group claimed responsibility for the incident and began leaking sample data on the dark web in late February 2026.
The attackers maintained access to the internal network from January 30 to February 2, 2026. During this window, the attackers viewed and stole data files. On February 23, 2026, the Qilin group posted a ransom demand and threatened to publish the full dataset in days.
The organization is reviewing the compromised files to determine the scope of the breach with assistance from third-party cybersecurity specialists.
