The Heritage Group informs of Data Breach

The Heritage Group reported a data breach in which an unauthorized party gained entry into the company's computer network and accessed confidential information belonging to certain present and former employees and their dependents.

Upon discovering the exposure of sensitive employee data, the Heritage Group reviewed the compromised files to assess the extent of the breach and identify the affected employees. The breached information may include first names, last names, addresses, and Social Security numbers, but the specifics vary for each individual. On May 1, 2023, the Heritage Group began sending data breach letters to all individuals whose information was compromised in the recent security incident.

The Heritage Group is a holding company located in Indianapolis, Indiana. It owns and operates more than 30 companies in industries such as construction and materials, environmental services, and specialty chemicals and fuel products and employes over 5,000 employees.
