Wyze security camera users have encountered a potential privacy breach. Reports from customers reveal that they were able to access feeds and camera logs of other users, raising significant concerns about their privacy.

A Reddit post on r/wyzecam, dated September 8, documents the reactions of users who discovered that they could view events taking place in other people's homes through Wyze's web viewer. According to The Verge, users alleged that the same home camera feeds were being displayed to multiple individuals.

One user explained, "This would only seem to be a risk for anyone if you had recently logged into the Wyze website to view your cameras. Your webpage was 'cached' and then accidentally shared with others visiting the same site. Whoops to Wyze! If you never use the web Wyze website, it's likely that you're not at risk of having your cameras accidentally exposed through caching."

Wyze confirmed to The Verge that the issue of merged feeds was a result of "a web caching issue" that exclusively impacted desktop users during a 30-minute window on September 8. Customer service representatives provided reassurances on the Reddit thread that the company was actively working on an immediate solution.

However, many users expressed deeper concerns about the overall privacy and security of the Wyze home camera system, particularly in light of the company's previous security lapses.
