Yakima Valley Radiology, located in Washington, has reported a data breach impacting 235,249 individuals caused by unauthorized access to patient data.

The incident was identified on August 18, 2023, leading to an investigation with the assistance of third-party forensic experts. It was discovered that an employee email account had been compromised.

On January 31, 2024, the investigation concluded, revealing that the compromised data included patient names and Social Security numbers.

Yakima Valley Radiology has initiated the process of informing affected individuals via notification letters.
