AHS started an investigation with external cybersecurity experts immediately after detecting the network security incident on April 24, 2023. This investigation verified that an unauthorized entity accessed files containing confidential data pertaining to current and former patients and employees. The breach compromised sensitive personal and health information of certain employees and patients, including:
- names,
- addresses,
- Social Security numbers,
- health information.
AHS has not disclosed any details of the attack nor the number of affected individuals and facilities beyond Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
