Allied Wealth Partners, a New Jersey-based wealth management firm, reports a data breach that compromised sensitive personal information of undisclosed number of individuals. 

The incident is described as an "email event", probably breach of an employee email accounts that contained client data.  The exposed data includes:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Driver's license information

The company has not disclosed the total number of affected individuals. Allied Wealth Partners began mailing data breach notification letters to impacted individuals, offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services. The company is providing affected individuals with enrollment codes to activate the credit monitoring services. The notification encourages individuals to place fraud alerts or credit freezes on their credit files and to contact the three major credit reporting bureaus if they detect any signs of identity theft or fraudulent activity.
