Arden Claims Service reports data breach, exposing 139k

Arden Claims Service, a class action litigation claims administration firm, is notifying approximately 139,000 individuals that their personal information was compromised during a data breach in October 2023.
The breach was first discovered on October 17, 2023, when the company detected suspicious activity in an email account. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party had exfiltrated certain data on or around October 3, 2023.
The review of the stolen data was completed on August 6, 2024. The stolen data included
- names
- other personally identifiable information.
- Social Security numbers (per an earlier submission to the Maine Attorney General’s Office in January)
Notification letters were sent to the affected individuals on August 14, 2024.
Arden Claims Service is offering affected individuals complimentary identity protection services, including credit monitoring, dark web surveillance, identity theft recovery, and identity fraud loss reimbursement.
