The Lynx ransomware gang has claimed responsibility for a cyber attack against Clutch Industries, an Australian auto parts manufacturer. The incident was publicly disclosed when the ransomware group listed the company on their darknet leak site on January 19, 2025.

The gang is claiming to have exfiltrated 350 gigabytes of data from the organization's systems. The claimed exposed data includes:

  • User and business data
  • Employee information
  • Financial details
  • Shared user folders
  • Purchasing and stock data
  • Engineering data
  • Sales and marketing information
  • Other unspecified data from various shares and personal folders

Clutch Industries has confirmed the attack, notified the Australian Cyber Security Centre, implemented security upgrades to prevent further incidents, and launched an investigation to confirm the scope of impacted data.

The number of affected individuals is not disclosed.

The company has  committed to notifying affected parties if personal or sensitive information is found to be compromised, demonstrating their commitment to transparency and regulatory compliance.
