The latest claim by Meow Leaks appears to involve the same data previously reported stolen by the Lynx group, raising a possibility about data sharing or theft among cybercriminals.

The first claim by Lynx ransomware gang was in late August, and Meow gang leaks data two weeks after Lynx's claim, early September 2024.

Lynx claims to have stolen data containing

  • Names,
  • email addresses,
  • confidential business information.

Meow goes into more detail, but it's essentialy a more detailed set of the same,

  • Contracts, invoices, sales targets, and reports
  • Company bank documents and other confidential business data
  • Names, phone numbers, and email addresses of staff
  • Banking information, employee data, client information, scanned payment documents, commercial proposals, internal financial documents, partnership agreements, certifications, and data backups.

Myelec acknowledged awareness of the incident but declined to provide further details. Myelec confirmed the data listed by Meow Leaks is a duplication of the data already claimed by Lynx.
