Void Interactive, the game development company known for the first-person shooter game "Ready or Not," has suffered a significant data breach involving the theft of over 4TB of data.

The incident, was made public by a ransomware group in March, but Void Interactive has not confirmed it or made any public statement.

The data stolen is claimed to encompass critical assets of the game, including the entire source code for "Ready or Not", code related to potential console versions of the game for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.  There appears to be no compromise regarding the personal information of players or Void Interactive's staff members. The breach seems solely focused on proprietary game data and internal testing results.

Insider Gaming confirmed the breach's extent by viewing images of the game running on a PlayStation 4 test kit derived from the stolen data.

Update - Void Interactive confirmed the hack but claims that no user or staff data was breached. The studio says hackers accessed "some" source code and directory information.
