Canada Post Corporation (CPC) has reported a security breach involving one of the IT service providers, CompuCom.
Canada Post has conducted an investigation and found that the breach exposed personal information such as:
- employee IDs,
- names,
- gender,
- work locations.
A limited group of employees had their personal email addresses and/or phone numbers exposed.
While CPC considers this information to be "non-sensitive personal information," they are currently evaluating the potential impact it may have on affected employees.
CPC will directly communicate any necessary safety measures to these individuals, as the exposed information could potentially be used for scams.
