Cincinnati Public Schools hit by ransomware attack

Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) reports it was the target of a ransomware attack in mid-August 2024. While no money was stolen, the district confirmed that unauthorized access was gained to its systems, and data stored on the district's network drives may have been compromised.
CPS immediately involved law enforcement and is working with cybersecurity experts to investigate the breach and prevent future incidents.
