Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) reported a data breach on January 18, 2024, after CMH discovered an intrusion into its IT network by an unauthorized party.

Community Memorial Healthcare, established in 1958, is a healthcare provider in Marysville, Kansas, offering a broad spectrum of services from prevention and diagnosis to rehabilitation and education.

The incident was detected on October 18, 2023, when CMH identified efforts by an unknown party to compromise its network. CMH engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to assess the impact and extent of the breach. It was confirmed that an attacker had accessed the IT network and potentially obtained confidential patient data.

The breach exposed sensitive patient data, including:
