Learn More

EasyPark Group, Europe's largest parking app operator, suffered a data breach that compromised the personal information of thousands of customers, including at least 950 in the UK. The breach, discovered on December 10th, 2023, affected users of EasyPark Group's apps like RingGo and ParkMobile. The ParkMobile app, with 50 million users in the US, was not affected, while some RingGo services, integrated with EasyPark technology, were compromised. The company has reported the breach to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK and equivalent European regulators.

The stolen data includes:

  • names,
  • phone numbers,
  • addresses,
  • email addresses,
  • partial credit card numbers.

No details were disclosed about the number of affected individuals nor the nature of the attack.

The company claims that "no sensitive information was lost" which is ridiculous and concerning - what do they  consider sensitive that they store for a customer if it's not the Personal ID data of customers?
