Learn More

The Everest ransomware group claims responsibility for a cyberattack on Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, a subsidiary of Choice Hotels International.

The hackers claim to have stolen personal information of thousands of clients, including:

  • credit card details,
  • internal emails,
  • messages,
  • booking calendar information.

The group announced the breach on their dark web site, with a 10-day countdown for negotiations.

Choice Hotels International, the parent company of Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, has not released an official statement or confirmation of the attack.

This incident is not the first time Radisson Hotels has faced a data breach. In 2018, Radisson Rewards members experienced a data breach that exposed personal information, including names, addresses, and email addresses. However, payment details and passwords were reportedly not compromised in that incident

It's advisable for guests and loyalty program members to monitor their accounts for any unusual activity and stay updated through official Choice Hotels communication channels.
