Hacker USDoD publishes claimed PII information of 2M Chinese Communist Party members
Learn More
The threat actor USDoD claims to have published Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of approximately 2 million members of the Communist Party of China (CCP). The data was supposedly held for several months by USDoD before being published as the first dataset on their newly established CDN. This platform was described as having a large file capacity and strict privacy in terms of upload rights.
This claim was allegedly made on a new content delivery network (CDN) created by the threat actor, and further discussed on Twitter and BreachForums.
The leak supposedly includes sensitive data:
- names,
- gender
- ethnicity,
- hometown,
- organizational affiliation,
- ID card number,
- address,
- mobile number,
- phone number,
- educational background
As of now, the breach remains unconfirmed with no official responses or statements regarding the legitimacy of the data. Interestingly, this leak surfaces shortly after USDoD's announcement of retirement from the hacking scene on BreachForums, where they also claimed a recent attack on Bureau van Dijk, extracting confidential data.
