Hospitality Staffing Solutions LLC (HSS) reported a data breach after detecting unauthorized access to its computer network by a third party.
The underlying cause of the Hospitality Staffing Solutions breach is not disclosed. HSS reports that on June 2, 2023, HSS became aware of an unauthorized party gaining access to its IT network. In response, HSS took immediate measures to secure its systems and initiated an investigative process.
HHS' investigation confirmed that an unauthorized actor accessed specific files containing confidential consumer information on March 2, 2023, and again on March 30, 2023. Upon discovering that sensitive consumer data was compromised, Hospitality Staffing Solutions examined the compromised files to determine the nature and extent of the information leaked.
