Following a cyberattack that caused damage to its computer systems, Idaho Falls Community Hospital in Idaho is diverting ambulances to other clinics while working to address the attack.

The hospital has not provided information on how long the rerouting of emergency cases will last, but it stated in a Facebook post that it has been dealing with the cyberattack since Monday.

There are no details whether the attack is ransomware-related. Some affiliated clinics will remain closed until the virus is fully removed.

Update - Subsequent reports in July clarify that the attack led to 1,043 patients' protected health information to be compromised.

The hospital's parent facility, Mountain View Hospital, assured that patient information has been kept safe. They noted that they are still caring for patients and surgeries are continuing as usual. Their emergency department is still open and most clinics are still seeing patients.
