Albamon, a major part-time job platform in Korea, has experienced a significant data breach affecting thousands of users. The company confirmed that unauthorized actors gained access to its systems, specifically targeting the "Resume Preview" page, resulting in the exposure of sensitive personal information from more than 22,000 resume entries.

On Wednesday, May 2, 2025, Albamon detected unusual system access and  initiated response procedures. The investigation discovered unauthorized activity targeting the platform's "Resume Preview" page.  The compromised personal information includes:

  • Names
  • Mobile phone numbers
  • Email addresses

A total of 22,473 resume entries were affected in this security incident. While the nature of the attack is not disclosed, the wording of "targeting the Resume Preview page" indicates a software vulnerability in that part of the platform.

Albamon has reported the breach to the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and other relevant authorities. The company is currently conducting an investigation to determine the origin of the attack and has promised to provide updates once the investigation concludes.

The company is preparing compensation measures for affected individuals. Details regarding the payment schedule and application process will be communicated directly to impacted users via email and text message.

Albamon issued a notice on its website apologizing for the incident and acknowledging the data leak.
