Medibase Group, Inc. (“Medibase”) is reporting a data breach after discovering a an incident that compromised the information of patients at Self Regional Healthcare.
Medibase Group, Inc., based in Woodstock, Georgia, offers healthcare software solutions, technical assistance, and business office solutions to hospitals, health systems, and integrated delivery networks across the United States. The company's primary products include BASEarchive, BASErevenue, and BASEmatch.
Medibase notified Self Regional Healthcare on May 28, 2024, about a cyberattack. The investigation determined that the unauthorized access occurred around January 26, 2024, compromising confidential patient information.
According to Medibase, an unauthorized party gained access to sensitive patient information, including:
- Names
- Social Security numbers
- Dates of birth
- Admit and discharge dates
- Outstanding balance amounts
- Insurance information
The nature of the attack and the number of affected individuals is not disclosed.
Medibase began sending data breach notification letters on July 24, 2024, to all individuals whose information was compromised.
