PRGX Global notifies over 13200 Individuals impacted in Data Breach

PRGX Global, Inc. ("PRGX") reported a data breach after discovering that an unauthorized party had accessed confidential consumer data stored on the company's computer network. The breach resulted in the unauthorized party gaining access to consumers' names, Social Security numbers, and financial account information. On April 9, 2022, certain portions of PRGX's computer system became inaccessible, prompting the company to secure its network and launch an investigation with the assistance of data security specialists. The investigation confirmed that an unauthorized party had been able to view and potentially download specific files from the company's network between April 8, 2022, and April 9, 2022. PRGX later determined that some of the affected files contained confidential consumer information. Upon discovering that sensitive consumer data had been exposed to an unauthorized party, PRGX Global conducted a thorough review of the affected files to identify the compromised information and determine which consumers were impacted. The breached information varies depending on each individual but may include names, Social Security numbers, and financial account information. The total number of impacted individuals exceeds 13200. On May 5, 2023, PRGX Global began sending out data breach letters to all individuals whose information was compromised in the recent data security incident.
