Primal Wear cycling clothing brand hit by ransomware attack

Primal Wear, an American cycling clothing manufacturer established in 1992 has fallen victim to a ransomware attack discovered on January 11, 2025. The attack was carried out by RansomHub gang in late December 2024.

The breach resulted in the unauthorized access and exfiltration of 10,513 files, amounting to more than 17 gigabytes of data. The compromised data includes:

  • Financial records
  • Employee information
  • Sales data
  • Invoice documentation

The company claims there is currently no indication that customer data was affected in this breach.

The number of affected individuals and any ransom amount and deadline have not been disclosed. The breach was discovered through leaked documents that included sensitive corporate materials, including an IRS filing, certificate of liability insurance, and ironically, a CyberRisk Application form.
