Poh Heng Jewellery, a Singapore-based jewellery chain, is reporting a data breach which occurred on March 25. As part of its response to the breach, Poh Heng has taken its website offline, displaying a notice of upgrade.

Poh Heng is collaborating with experts and relevant teams to investigate the breach and is committed to reviewing and enhancing its data protection processes to prevent future incidents. The police have also confirmed that investigations into the breach are currently in progress.

The incident resulted in unauthorized access to personal information of its customers. Compromised data includes:

  • names,
  • phone numbers,
  • e-mail addresses,
  • birthdays,
  • usernames,
  • countries of residence.

No details are disclosed about the nature of the breach or the number of affected individuals.

Poh Heng claim that payment card information was not affected in this breach, as Poh Heng does not store such data. Additionally, user passwords were not accessed by the attackers.

Eugene Goh, the Chief Executive of Poh Heng Jewellery, has issued a notice to customers, detailing the breach and the types of data that were compromised.
