Lulu Hypermarket, a prominent retail chain based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has reportedly suffered a substantial data breach involving the personal details of approximately 196,000 customers. The hacker group IntelBroker claimed responsibility for this attack, revealing some customer details on BreachForums to establish their credibility.
IntelBroker announced on BreachForums: "Hello BreachForums Community! Today, I have uploaded the LuluMarket database for you to download. Thanks for reading and enjoy! In July 2024, Lulu Hypermarket suffered a data breach that exposed the information of up to 196,000 individuals."
The exposed data includes:
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
IntelBroker claims to possess the entire database, which they are preparing to release at a later date. This database allegedly contains millions of user records and order details.
Lulu Group International has not commented on the claims.
