Verizon Communications is reporting a data after discovering that a server belonging to one of its retail agents had been accessed without authorization.
The breach was identified on September 5, 2024, and Verizon took action to end unauthorized access and began investigating the full scope of the incident. Verizon's investigation revealed that this incident compromised sensitive consumer information, including:
- Names,
- Social Security numbers,
- Phone numbers,
- Products purchased.
