MEDUSA ransomware gang claims attack on American Golf Corporation

American Golf Corporation, an operator in the U.S. golf industry, has reportedly fallen victim to a cyberattack executed by the notorious MEDUSA ransomware group. American Golf Corporation has a 50-year history in the golf industry, managing over 70 facilities across the United States.
The MEDUSA ransomware group has disclosed details of the breach on their dark web channel, "MEDUSA BLOG", and has set an 8-day deadline for the ransom payment. The ransom increases by $100,000 for each day the payment is delayed. The group also offered to delete all the data for the initial ransom amount of $2,000,000.
According to claims made by the hackers, the hackers have exfiltrated 154.9 GB of sensitive data. This data includes:
- Email correspondence
- Members’ data
- Orders
- Full access account credentials (User IDs, Passwords, Secret Keys)
- Reports
- Licenses
- Passports
- Financial data
No details are disclosed about the number of affected individuals.
As of now, American Golf Corporation has not issued an official statement regarding the data breach.
