Wee Care Pediatrics, a children's healthcare provider operating in Utah, reports a significant data breach following unauthorized network access discovered on December 15, 2025. 

Attackers broke into the Wee Care network and maintained access until detection in mid-December. The investigation confirmed that the attackers likely stole files containing both personally identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) during the intrusion period. The compromised data includes:

  • Full names and contact information
  • Social Security numbers
  • Dates of birth
  • Medical record and patient account numbers
  • Medicare or Medicaid ID numbers
  • Health insurance information
  • Treatment, diagnosis, and prescription details
  • Dates of service and provider names

The nature of the attack and the number of affected individuals is not disclosed.

The organization reported the incident in February 2026 and is working with external experts to implement security enhancements designed to prevent similar incidents. Affected individuals are receiving notifications and have been offered complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
