Adidas Korea is reporting a data breach exposing customer information. Unauthorized access to customer data occurred through a third-party customer service provider.
The security incident compromised various types of personal information belonging to Adidas customers who had previously made inquiries through the company's customer service channels in 2024 or earlier. The exposed data includes:
- Customer names
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Birth dates (in some cases)
- Physical addresses (in some cases)
The number of affected individuals and the compromised third party is not disclosed.
Adidas has Initiated an investigation in collaboration with information security specialists, reported the incident to relevant Korean authorities and notified all affected Korean customers
"We are taking this matter very seriously and are immediately conducting a comprehensive investigation in cooperation with information security specialists," an Adidas representative stated. The company emphasized its commitment to protecting consumer information and maintaining security.
